چکیده

This article investigates the behaviour of strengthened concrete columns using jacketing ultra-high-performance fiber reinforced (UHPFRC) and carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) under uniaxial loaded. The jacket was connected to column core shear connectors fixed as a strip on tension zone between cores jacketing. Seven samples square cross-section (120 x120) mm at midsection with overall length 1250 were cast normal strength (NSC) having similar longitudinal transverse reinforcement. made tested axial load eccentricity equal 120 up failure. Test parameters thickness jackets (25 35) width CFRP (0,8, 12) cm. Column specimens tested, one them reference without any strengthening, other divided into two groups (A, B), each group included three based parameters. Group (A) has UHPFRC 25 cm respectively, (B) 35 respectively. outcomes show that increasing jacket, lead increase in carrying capacity about (110.5%,168.4%, 184.2%) for A, (157.9%,226.3%, 263.2%) B compared due delay appearance cracks their distribution. mid-height lateral displacement decreased (66.6%,42.3%, 35.9%) (46.15%,38.46%, 32.3%) B, also deformation (71.7%,60.86%, 55.86%) (65.5%,60.5%, 53.4) column. ductility only increased (13.67%,19.66%) thickness(25,35) because contented steel fibers, percentage decrease (5.1%,and 12%) (A), (1%,and 9.4%) when bonded (8 ,and results improvement initial secant stiffness when, size modulus elasticity. toughness (273.97%,301.55%, 304.5%) (453.69%,511.93%, 524.28%) cracks.

Axial Compressive Strength of Reinforced Concrete Columns Wrapped with Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP)

This paper presents the results of a study on the axial compressive strength of columnsstrengthened with FRP wrap. The experimental part of the study included testing 6 reinforcedconcrete columns in two series. The first series comprised three similar circular reinforced concretecolumns strengthened with FRP wrap. The second series consisted of three similar square columns, two with sharp corner...

Rehabilitation of Reinforced Concrete Columns

In recent years, rehabilitation has been the subject of extensive research due to increased spending on building work and repair of built works. In all cases, it is absolutely essential to carry out methods of strengthening or repair of structural elements, and that following an inspection analysis and methodology of a correct diagnosis. The reinforced concrete columns are important elements in...

Electrical and Self-Sensing Properties of Ultra-High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete with Carbon Nanotubes

This study examined the electrical and self-sensing capacities of ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) with and without carbon nanotubes (CNTs). For this, the effects of steel fiber content, orientation, and pore water content on the electrical and piezoresistive properties of UHPFRC without CNTs were first evaluated. Then, the effect of CNT content on the self-sensing capa...

Damage Simulation of High Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete

The simulation of damage and failure in short fiber reinforced composites like high performance hybrid-fiber reinforced cement composites is still a challenging task, due to the richness of failure mechanisms introduced by fibers on the mesoscale of the material. Randomly oriented, hooked steel fibers, like the Baekaert Dramix® fibers, sustainable modify the macroscopic failure behavior of the ...

Feasibility of Reducing the Fiber Content in Ultra-High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete under Flexure

In this study, the flexural behavior of ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) is examined as a function of fiber length and volume fraction. Straight steel fiber with three different lengths (lf) of 13, 19.5, and 30 mm and four different volume fractions (vf) of 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0% are considered. Test results show that post-cracking flexural properties of UHPFRC, suc...
